Meant to write this weeks ago but couldn’t find the time to. Anyway, it was my mom’s birthday 2 days after Mother’s Day. Our family celebrated both days separately :P
I got my mom some flowers from the florist shop just below my office. The purple white carnations were too attractive that I spotted it right away although it was kept inside the fridge with transparent glass door. Besides it being attractive, carnation also brings the meaning of fascination, distinction and love. Pink carnations also meant gratitude. What a nice overall combination! :)

The bouquet was a little too small at first and so I asked the florist to add half a dozen more of pink carnations and more sea lavenders for the filler flowers. I also asked the florist whether she has baby’s breath. I have always loved baby’s breath and sea lavenders as filler flowers. Baby’s breath is my favourite filler flowers. They’re just so AWESOME and SUPER PRETTY! My colleague and I was joking about how baby’s breath got its name. Most probably they smell like milk :P (of course they don’t smell like milk!).

After I’ve gotten the flowers, I went to Secret Recipe to get a New York Cheesecake because my mom loved cheesecake a lot. I hand delivered the flowers and cake to her office :) She was so happy. It’s her birthday and I believe she deserved it after all these painful years of taking care of us, watching us grow up and get rebelled against sometimes.
